SAIGON – CAI BE – CAU KE – CAN THO – CHAU DOC
(6 DAYS 5 NIGHTS)

Day 1: Saigon – Cai Be – Vinh Long (-/L/D) 140 KM
07:30 AM: Breakfast at hotel.
08:00 AM: Check out and transfer to Cai Be.
10:30 AM: Arrive at Cai Be pier, visit Cai Be floating market, walk along the island and visit local coconut candy and pop-rice production workshop, local school, etc.
12:00 AM: Enjoy your lunch at local restaurant.
03:30 PM: After a rest, take a ride around the island (1hr-2hrs) to visit orchards.
06: 30 PM: Join the cooking class/demonstration with the hostess. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Stay overnight in Cai Be/Vinh Long.

Day 2: Cai Be/Vinh Long – Cau Ke and surroundings (B/L/D) 55 KM
08:00 AM: Today, after simple breakfast at Homestay, transfer to Vinh Long city.
09:30 AM: Load your luggage to the bus then walk around the Vinh Long Market to see the variety of the local agricultural produces being on sale.
10:00 AM: After the walk/ride, get back to the bus to continue to Cau Ke.
12:00 AM: Arrive Cau Ke town.
01:30 PM: Check in at Homestay. Have lunch.
02:20 PM: Walk or cycle through the villages to Ba Mi. You will see how local farmers work on their rice paddy or local gardeners do their gardening (growing vegetables or fruit trees). Visit Ba Mi church and school (there is no schooling during summer vacation from May till September).
05:00 PM: Finish your walking at a Khmer pagoda before getting back to Homestay. Overnight at Homestay.

Day 3: Cau Ke and surroundings (B/L/D)
07:30 AM: After breakfast, walk or ride your bicycle through Khmer villages such Canh Dal, Tra Khao, Giong Lon to see how local people make their living or talk to the local elderly about wars that happened in the areas, etc then get on the bus awaiting at the big road to go to Cau Ke Market (visit the market and the Huynh Ky ancient house).
12:00 AM: Today your lunch is served at a local house in Cau Ke.
01:30 PM: After lunch, keep going to other Khmer villages in Chong No then to Ninh Thoi and Cau Quan townlet to see local orchards and Mac Bac church.
05:00 PM: Ride back to Homestay.
06:30 PM: Have dinner and stay overnight at Suonsia Homestay.

Day 4: Cau Ke – Can Tho (B/L/D) 40 KM
07:30AM: After breakfast at homestay. Check out.
09:00AM: Transfer through National Road 54 (QL 54) toward Can Tho city.
11:30AM: Arrive Can Tho city. Check in hotel.
12:00AM: Then transfer to a local restaurant for lunch.
01:30PM: Discover the Can Tho city (Pagodas, Markets, etc).
04:00PM: Get back to the hotel.
06:30PM: Have dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 5: Can Tho – Chau Doc (B/L/D) 130 KM
07:00 AM: Have breakfast at hotel. Then start the trip with a boat cruise on sparking streams along the endless waterway of mighty Mekong River to Cai Rang floating market. There will be hundreds of boats loaded with fruits, vegetables and fish jostling for trade. Sellers advertise their wares or products by crying out across the waters.
09:00 AM: After the boat cruise to Cai Rang floating market, get back to the main tributary of the Mekong river to proceed to Chau Doc, An Giang province ( 130km or around 2h30-drive ).
09:30 AM: Next stop is at Binh Thuy ancient house then proceed to Long Xuyen city.
10:00 AM: Walk back to the bus, drive to Tra Uoi and walk into the Tra Uoi village to see the local craftsman making and knitting bamboo basket, bamboo fishing net, etc.
11:30 AM: Return to the bus. On the way, stop for lunch at local restaurant and visit Crocodile Farm in Long Xuyen city.
01:00 PM: After lunch (at Long Xuyen Crocodile Farm), continue driving toward Chau Doc.
02:30 PM: Take a boat trip to visit the floating fish farm, the Cham Village.
06:30 PM: Have dinner at a local restaurant and stay overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 6: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh – Cambodia (B/-/-)
06:45 AM: After breakfast, greet and pick-up from the hotel and transfer to the boat station for your onward trip to Cambodia.
(For today, if you do not take your trip to Cambodia, you can extend your trip to Tra Su and then transfer back to Saigon).
